Bob Oppenheim Passed Away

Bob Oppenheim, a long time Quail and MGA member, passed away on October 4. Many members have shared their memories of Bob including his humor, magical ability to get up and down from 100 yards, stories from his career in the entertainment industry and his occasional curmudgeonly nature. Steve Hoch noted that Bob shot 48 just six weeks ago.

Many members are being recognized for helping Bob continue to play as his health was declining. They include Mark Mammel, Steve Hoch, Ed DeLacy and Dave Barrett. And there are probably others. Jim Giancola has received special recognition for his almost weekly rounds with Bob during the past year.
